The cut list

What we do, how long it takes, what it costs.

Every appointment includes the consultation and the finish. If you are between two options, pick the longer one — we would rather give the time back than rush the shape.

  • Skin fade

Taper from bare skin, blended into scissor work on top. Best kept fresh every two to three weeks.

    45 min£24

  • Scissor cut & finish

Length kept, weight removed. For grown-out shapes, texture and anything that needs to sit naturally.

    40 min£22

  • Beard shape & line-up

Cheek and neck lines set by hand, length balanced to the jaw. Finished with a warm towel.

    25 min£14

  • Hot towel shave

Two towels, pre-shave oil and a straight razor pass with the grain, then a cold finish.

    35 min£26

  • Cut & beard together

The full sitting. Booked as one slot so the beard is shaped against the finished haircut, not before it.

    60 min£34

  • First cut, under 11

Quieter clippers, a booster seat and no pressure to sit still the whole time. Booked into the calmer mid-morning slots.

    30 min£14

Student and over-65 rates are £3 lower on weekday mornings — mention it when you request a chair.

In the chair

Four steps, every appointment.

If it is your first visit, this is exactly what the sitting looks like from the door to the finish.

  1. 01

    Talk it through

Three minutes at the mirror. Photos welcome. We say plainly what will work with your growth pattern and what will not.

  2. 02

    Wash and section

A warm wash unless you would rather stay dry, then the head is sectioned so the guard lines land in the same place each time.

  3. 03

    The cut

Clipper work first, scissor work over the top, then a check with the chair turned so you see the shape before the finish.

  4. 04

    Finish and keep it

Dried and dressed lightly, plus one honest tip for holding the shape and a regrowth window so you know when to come back.

Request a chair

Tell us the cut and the day that suits you.

Send the request and we reply by email with the nearest times on that barber's chair. Nothing is held until you have that reply.

  • Requests sent overnight are answered the next working morning.
  • Two chairs run at once, so two people can usually be seated together.
  • Need to move a booked slot? Reply to the confirmation email and we will shift it.

This is a request, not a confirmed appointment. We use your email only to arrange the sitting.

On the chairs

Two barbers, different hands.

Both cut everything on the list. If you have a preference, name it in the request — otherwise we put you with whoever is free soonest.

Questions

The things people ask at the door.

Do you take walk-ins?

Before 17:00 on weekdays, yes, if a chair is free — it is worth putting your head round the door. After 17:00 and all day Saturday the chairs are booked only, because both barbers are usually mid-sitting.

How far ahead should I book?

Weekday mornings usually have something within a day or two. Late afternoons, Thursday evenings and Saturdays fill about a week ahead, so send the request early if you need a specific time.

What happens if I run late?

Up to ten minutes and we will still do the full service. Beyond that we may shorten the finish or move you to the next free slot, so the client after you is not pushed back.

Do you cut curly and coily hair?

Yes. Curl is cut dry or damp rather than soaking wet so the length you see is the length you keep, and shape is built around your growth pattern instead of a guard number.

Can you cut my child's hair?

From about age three. Book the under-11 slot in the mid-morning when the shop is calm. A parent stays in the room, and stopping halfway for a break is completely fine.

What if I don't know what I want?

Say so at the mirror. We will look at your hairline, growth and how much time you want to spend in the morning, then suggest two options and cut conservatively so there is room to go shorter next time.
